My journey to finding purpose and direction in life has been shaped by family and a deep desire to serve others. Growing up, I always thought I would join the military. My dad served in the Navy overseas in Vietnam, and my older brother has spent nearly 30 years in the Army—I planned to follow in their footsteps. However, chronic back issues from a football injury disqualified me medically. That dream ended before it began, leaving me wondering what I was supposed to do instead. I felt like perhaps a career in law enforcement was the next best option for me, and I pursued that aggressively for months before realizing that also was not part of the plan. My future wife, Katherine, changed everything when our relationship started. She lit a fire under me that hadn’t been there before to create a stable life to support our future together. For a while, that meant working a random job in retail security. It wasn’t my passion, and I knew it was a dead end, but it paid the bills and gave me time to regroup. Then, my wife’s boss suggested that I would be a great real estate agent. Knowing nothing about the industry, I nevertheless explored it, liked what I found, and decided to give it a shot. Four months later, I was licensed, and I quit my job to jump into real estate full-time. It was a leap of faith, driven by the need to find a purposeful career. Starting out, I was fortunate to have a great broker who had the time and willingness to mentor me one-on-one. His guidance and the supportive environment of our small office helped me understand the business quickly. I loved having the ability to be my own boss, control my schedule and conduct my business as I saw fit. Most importantly, it allowed me to connect with people and help them with one of the most significant financial decisions of their lives. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to hold a position where I was able to serve others. Through real estate, I discovered a way to serve people and better their lives through the work I do every day.
Those initial years were full of challenges as I learned about a very complicated industry. I tried being a part of a team to see if that would help me perfect my skills, but as it turns out, it only stifled me and limited my ability to serve others at a high level. When I became a solo agent once again, my business completely took off. When I went out on my own once again, my business completely took off. Since going solo in 2017, I have been in the top 5% in New Hampshire for sales every year. I am incredibly grateful for that, and I think it is a testament to the level of service and care that I provide for my clients. My success in real estate has allowed my wife, Katherine, to stay home with our two children, Maren and Elliot. This flexibility and financial stability are among the biggest blessings of my career. It allows me to be present in my children’s lives, ensuring they have a solid foundation and plenty of quality time with both parents. My faith is a cornerstone of my life. As a Christian, the two most important rules I adhere to are to love God and love others. Whether it’s helping clients, spending time with my family or volunteering to help folks in the community, these principles are my daily guide. I view myself as a real estate coach to my clients, guiding buyers and sellers through the process so they can make educated decisions. It’s more than just a transaction; it’s about building relationships and making sure my clients know they can count on me from start to finish. The drive to support my family and care for others has led me down a rewarding path that I feel blessed to be on every single day.
With a family background heavily steeped in service, with most immediate family members being either in the military or in healthcare, I learned to have great respect for those who serve our communities. This especially includes military personnel, police officers, firefighters, teachers, EMTs, and healthcare professionals. These are the people who dedicate themselves to bettering and protecting others, often without the recognition or compensation they deserve. I offer special programs for all of the above professions, allowing me to offer personalized assistance and financial benefits. Several of the things that set me apart from other agents are my creativity and flexibility. On the buying side, I excel at writing offers that are crafted to address the specific needs of each seller. On the listing side, I employ a completely unique listing strategy that I developed, which helps my clients get more bang for their buck. This approach has consistently resulted in higher financial gains for my clients: My sellers make $30,000 to $35,000 more per transaction than the average New Hampshire seller. Leading with the Golden Rule, I work very hard on behalf of each client to create a positive, memorable real estate experience that they will then want to share with their friends and family!
